Andy Warhol, Rainer Crone - Andy Warhol [dedicated, with multiple signatures] - 1971

A seminal book amongst the very first European monographs on Andy Warhol’s career, published by Büchergilde Gutenberg in 1971. First edition of the German monograph (published following the very first Swiss edition of 1970).
This copy, in perfect condition, is unique in that it bears Warhol’s signature seven times on various inside pages of the book, a dedication (presumably ‘to dear, dear Alberto’) and a small drawing (a little heart).

One on the reproduction of a drawing of ‘Small Campbell’s Soup Can’.
One, with a small heart drawing, beneath a still from ‘International Velvet’.
One vertically next to a colour ‘Self Portrait’.
One vertically next to ‘Double Elvis’.
Two on a double-page spread amongst the images of the ‘Printed Dollar Bills’.
All the signatures and markings are visible in the photographs, as is the excellent condition in which the edition has been preserved.
It features a bright green glossy cover with black lettering embossed on the front cover and spine.
