Meccano - Toy - 1920-1930

Old Meccano grand collection in a large three-level wooden chest with a weight of 17 kilograms. Dated between 1927-1935.

Huge collection of original Meccano pieces preserved in a large three-level wooden chest with trays and compartments. The set appears to have been formed by incorporating several Meccano sets and extensions, so it does not correspond to a single complete game.

The set is mainly composed of components from the late 1920s and the first half of the 1930s, including parts from different periods and color schemes characteristic of these years.

The collection includes a large quantity of Meccano components, including beams and perforated strips, metal plates, structural pieces, wheels with tires, pulleys, gears, axles, transmission elements, brackets, screws, and numerous mechanical accessories. It also includes several wind-up mechanisms and motors, one of them marked “Meccano Ltd. Liverpool Eng. – Made in England – Pat. No. 21117/12,” interior wooden compartments with partitions and an illustrated Meccano Outfit No. 1 label on the inside of the lid.

It is also accompanied by a large amount of Meccano-era documentation and manuals, mainly for the Dutch market, including instruction manuals, supplementary manuals, model construction sheets, parts and accessory catalogs, advertising and Meccano Gilde documentation, among other documents.

Due to the large number of components, the contents have not been reviewed or inventoried. The lot is sold with all the contents shown in the photographs, which display the pieces, accessories, motors and documentation included.
