Leica IIIa (model G) + Leitz Summitar 5cm f/2 Rangefinder camera

Leica IIIa (Model G), serial number 281566, manufactured in 1938.
A beautiful example of the classic pre-war Leica screw-mount rangefinder, featuring the 1/1000 sec top shutter speed introduced with the IIIa.
The camera is fitted with a desirable Leitz Summitar 5cm f/2 collapsible lens, the fast standard lens which succeeded the Summar and preceded the legendary Summicron.
The camera is in attractive original condition with normal signs of age and use, as visible in the photographs. The camera is functional, shutter fires correctly and the controls operate normally.
The Summitar is also in beautiful cosmetic condition. Focusing and aperture operate correctly.
Original leather case included.
