When Rollei sold the Voigtländer brand in 1981, former Rollei engineer Karl-Heinz Lange (who had worked on the Minox 35) took the design to Balda, where it was built as the "Balda CA 35" and also badged as this Voigtländer "Vito C." Technically the same camera under different shell trim.
