Pair of leather lounge chairs from the 1970s, manufactured in Germany, in good used condition with minor signs of wear, dimensions 98 cm deep, 73 cm high, 90 cm wide, seating height 43 cm.
Description from the seller
These two distinctive leather lounge chairs from the 1970s impress with their voluminous, sculptural formal language and an exceptionally comfortable lounge character. The deeply contoured seating, softly padded armrests, and generous back sections make the chairs striking individual pieces with a strong presence.
The black leather bears an authentic patina developed over the years, giving the chairs their special vintage charm. Visible signs of use such as fine scratches, slight wear, and natural creases in the leather are part of the look and speak to their long years of use. The marks are not distracting; they emphasize the original character and the lively surface of the leather.
Particularly characteristic are the elaborately crafted details. The side corded lacing with metal-tone eyelets nods to traditional saddlery work and lends the chairs a distinctive, almost artisanal aura. This is complemented by the round brass-colored buttons on the sides and at the back. The combination of soft, heavily padded leather, decorative lacing, and bold proportions makes the design unmistakable.
The leather surfaces have been treated with leather care and refreshed. The existing patina was consciously preserved, so the chairs continue to project their authentic presence and charming character.
An exceptional pair of chairs from the 1970s that does not aim for flawless perfection, but for originality, materiality, and an authentic vintage appeal.
