Porsche Artifact Book, Original/official, near mint condition; a PORSCHE ARTIFACTS BOOK with 356 pages, Edition Porsche Museum, a large-format coffee table book featuring a pull-out index and archive-box packaging at 34x42 cm.
Description from the seller
Step into the exclusive rooms of the Porsche Corporate Archives with Artifacts, a comprehensive and artistic look at the historical items, vehicles, and human stories that have made Porsche what it is today.
Presented by Type 7 and published by ERG Media in collaboration with Edition Porsche Museum, Artifacts offers an abstract and artistic perspective featuring dramatic lighting and high-resolution photography. Thomas Walk, the photographer and lead creative, carefully explores each item, focusing on the textures, patina, and history enclosed within every piece.
Photographed on-site in Zuffenhausen, thousands of historical pieces underwent a meaningful selection process, exploring the full scope of the Archives. It includes items from the Porsche family, Porsche design and development teams, cars from the Porsche Museum, and previously unseen views of the Archives.
Spanning 356 pages, this large-format coffee table book pairs its photographs with a pull-out index that tells the story behind each item. The result is a reading experience that evokes that of an archivist exploring Porsche’s physical history.
The ERG Media team focused on an uncompromising approach to the packaging, collaborating with Andy Cruz from House Industries to create a tactile experience that reflects the feel of the items inside, including a custom-made typeface. It ships wrapped in paper designed with elements that pay homage to the Porsche design blueprints. Once unwrapped, readers will find an archive box with reinforced metal corners. After breaking a seal, the book's red slipcase is revealed, inspired by racing pedigree and the thousands of document folders lining the Archive shelves. To open the book, readers will enjoy a pleasant physical experience, untying a string to finally encounter a treasure trove of photographs and information inside.
