Each cup presents a body with an inverted truncated-cone profile, funnel-shaped, with clean lines and a completely smooth surface, highlighting the quality of the silversmith’s work through its highly polished finish. The formal simplicity is harmoniously complemented by a base carved in blackened wood, formed of concentric rings, which provides an interesting chromatic contrast between the black wood and the shine of the silver. The set bears the Portuguese hallmark Javali II, corresponding to 833 silver, used between 1887 and 1937, attesting to the authenticity and quality of the precious metal.
