Goldscheider Everlast - Sculpture, Spanish Dancer Figurine - 30 cm - Ceramic

A polychrome hand-painted ceramic figurine by Goldscheider Everlast, the American production arm of the Goldscheider factory, depicting a Spanish lady dancer in a blue pleated dress holding a fan in her right hand. Goldscheider, founded in Vienna in 1885, relocated production to the United States in 1938 following the Anschluss and continued American output until approximately 1950; this piece dates to that wartime and immediate post-war window. The figure is decorated in the Art Deco style with polychrome hand painting; the base bears the factory stamp from the US production period, which assists attribution and dating to this specific phase of manufacture. Condition is Very Good: the piece is structurally intact with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed; very subtle crazing of the glaze is present across the ceramic body, consistent with the age of the piece and expected in ceramics of this period.
