Description from the seller
Marimekko Unikko Rug.
This rug, named Unikko, is decorated with the iconic Marimekko pattern by Maija Isola. The Unikko pattern was designed in 1964.
However, Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, announced that no floral motifs would be designed at Marimekko.
But Maija Isola was not in the mood to comply and, in protest, she designed an entire collection of striking floral patterns – today Unikko is one of Marimekko's most beloved patterns and is recognized worldwide.
This Marimekko rug is made in collaboration with the high-quality Dutch rug maker Brink & Campman; this Marimekko rug is hand-tufted from New Zealand wool with a striking, bright orange color palette. Whether placed in your bedroom or living room, the Unikko rug promises to add warmth to your home, like a field of poppies in the middle of your house!
Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Pile height: 1.2 cm
Weight: 16.3 kg
Care instructions:
Gently vacuum. Use clean, lukewarm water to blot the stain with a clean towel.
About the designer:
