Description from the seller

The specimen is particularly notable because heavily deformed or morphologically anomalous pyrite is far less characteristic of Navajún than the locality’s famous sharp cubes with mirror-like faces. Published descriptions of the deposit document crystals occasionally distorted, flattened morphologies, and unusual modifications, including the development of smaller pyritohedral faces or others; some Navajún crystals also exhibit growth zones associated with helical dislocations. In this specimen, the combination of unmistakable cubic architecture with substantial distortion, irregular development of the faces, raised textures, and apparent episodes of regrowth makes it an exceptionally informative example of the variability that can occur during pyrite crystallization in Navajún.
