The decoration features a rich ornamental gold ground engraved and painted, with geometric borders and polychrome floral motifs typical of certain popular Russian productions of the 19th century.
Christ blessing holds a scroll inscribed in Cyrillic. The halos are finely radiating and the backgrounds delicately punched, providing a lovely decorative presence to the whole.
