Mercedes-Benz 300 SL-24 from 1991 with about 127,000 km, automatic transmission, petrol, light blue colour, 228 hp, registered in Spain with Spanish papers and valid MOT.
Description from the seller
GENERAL:
This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL-24 (R129 generation) unit has approximately 127,000 km and is equipped with both the soft top and the hardtop. The R129, presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1989, is widely regarded as a milestone in the brand's engineering, notable for introducing pioneering safety solutions such as the automatically deploying roll-over bar in milliseconds and a design by Bruno Sacco. The 24-valve (M104) engine with variable timing in this unit is highly valued by enthusiasts for combining flexible performance with notable durability and more favourable fuel consumption compared to V8 blocks. This unit stands out for largely preserving its original paint, reflecting a history free of major accidents. The vehicle was stored for several years in a private collection with its own mechanic handling maintenance, and has recently undergone a full tune-up to guarantee total reliability at classic car events.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The car is very original and largely retains its factory paint. It shows only minor defects typical of use and age, maintaining an intense shine across the body that allows you to enjoy it perfectly as it is, with authenticity preservation prioritized over respraying.
MECHANICS:
Currently it runs very well, offering maximum technical reliability. Recently the hydraulic cylinders for the top, the top control unit, the heating, the air conditioning system and the odometer have been repaired.
INTERIOR:
The entire cabin remains in original condition with blue leather upholstery in very good overall condition, showing only wear consistent with its age. Some wood trim shows a slight detachment that does not affect aesthetics or function. The car is equipped with a host of period features such as heated seats, air conditioning, dual airbags and SRS system, with almost all of its equipment functioning correctly.
DOCUMENTATION:
The vehicle has a valid MOT (ITV) in force. It is currently in the process of being catalogued as a historic/classic vehicle, which would allow free circulation in any area of the city without environmental restrictions. A copy of invoices and proofs of recent repairs will also be provided.
COLLECTION / DELIVERY:
The vehicle is located in Madrid, Spain. If won at auction, a free storage period of up to 20 days is offered.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
