Peugeot 205 Roland Garros Cabriolet, model year 1993, 1.4 manual petrol, green, 85 hp, matching numbers and colours, ASI-listed with Italian registration and CoC present, 151,909 km, mechanically sound with minimal wear and a new battery and alternator as of June 2026; electrically operated roof in good working order.
Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Registered ASI with historical relevance certification
• Special setup "Roland Garros" with fully functioning electric convertible top
• Interiors renewed in 2024 with new original upholstery (Youngtimer Classic)
• Vetted in July 2026 and equipped with a new battery and alternator (replaced June 2026)
STORY/PANORAMA:
The Peugeot 205 Cabriolet in the special "Roland Garros" edition, introduced in the late '80s and produced in the first half of the '90s, represents one of the most iconic and sought-after versions of the famous French hatch. Born from the collaboration with the historic Paris tennis tournament, it stands out for its metallic green livery paired with dedicated interiors. This 1993 example has had 3 owners and is regularly registered with ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano). The vehicle is operational and was serviced in July 2026.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
The body is in generally good condition with minor signs of age. Noted are a small dent on the front hood, cracks on the front and rear bumpers, and the presence of surface rust that does not affect the vehicle's operation. The headlight and window seals have been replaced with new components. The electric green canvas top was replaced new in 2024 (original Youngtimer Classic spare part) and is perfectly functioning.
INTERIORS:
The cabin was renewed in 2024 with the installation of new seat upholstery, new floor mats, and a new top, all original Youngtimer Classic parts. The steering wheel and dashboard are original and in good condition. The electrical components (windows, indicators, switches and top) are functional. A new non-original radio system is present. It should be noted that the gear knob has a chipped glass and the ashtray and the cap for the top piston need replacement.
MECHANICS:
The mechanicals and engine are fully functional and have undergone annual maintenance from 2021 to present. Brakes, tires, suspension, belts and clutch have been overhauled. The battery and alternator were replaced with new units in June 2026. The car starts and drives normally.
DOCUMENTS:
The car comes with an ASI registration certificate and periodic inspection conducted with a regular outcome in July 2026.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
