Description from the seller

We present an exclusive Caucasian Teke rug of Russian origin, an antique piece of very high quality, handmade entirely with fine wool over cotton. Manufactured between 1950 and 1960, this rug stands out for its elegant traditional geometric design with the characteristic oval medallions typical of the Teke and for the extraordinary quality of its fine wool, silky and shiny.

The rug features the characteristic Caucasian double border, highly valued in the old rugs of this region. Its deep red color combined with classic geometric patterns creates a decorative, warm, and elegant piece, typical of authentic Caucasian rugs of Russian origin.

The wool has a fine, silky touch, with natural sheen and high-quality elegant pile. A very fine and decorative rug, representative of Russian-Caucasian craftsmanship.

It is in very good condition for its age. It shows only a small flaw of approximately 2 cm on one of the edges, visible in the photographs. Otherwise, the rug perfectly retains its structure and its original colors. It only needs a light cleaning to remove dust and refresh the colors even more.
