Description from the seller
Elegant and ample 71-piece vintage cutlery service from the prestigious Italian manufacturer Sambonet, made in silver-plated alloy and characterized by a refined decor of classic taste, inspired by the Luigi XV/baroque tradition.
The service features elegantly shaped handles, outlined by thin ridges and enriched at the ends with ornamental motifs of volutes and shell.
The various elements bear the Sambonet marks; on the blades of the knives the marking “Sambonet – Anticor – Italy” is also visible.
Particularly interesting is the presence of the original Sambonet packaging and the original sheet with the “Norme d'uso e di manutenzione – Posateria in lega argentata”, an element that further documents provenance and material of the service.
The lot includes numerous table and dessert/fruit cutlery: forks of different sizes, table and fruit knives, spoons, teaspoons and other items, as extensively documented in the photographs.
Italian production of the second half of the 20th century, approximately the 60s–80s.
The cutlery presents itself overall in good vintage condition, with normal signs of time and use, light oxidations, halos and small superficial scratches compatible with age and material. The original box shows evident signs of storage and wear along the edges, as visible in the photographs.
