The Minolta SRT-101, introduced in 1966, is a classic and robust mechanical 35mm SLR famous for its through-the-lens CLC metering and excellent build. It uses the Minolta SR (MC) mount and is offered here with an Auto Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.8 standard lens — a satisfying, fully manual film camera.

Shutter speeds and the meter are inaccurate, the self-timer does not work, and the lens has haze and cleaning marks. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.

Optical Condition
Haze: Haze and cleaning marks on the front and rear elements of the Auto Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.8 — may soften images or reduce contrast. See photos.
Finder: Cleaned internally — clear

Functional
The shutter fires at all speeds, but the speeds are off: 1s runs at about 1/5s and 1/1000 at about 1/2650 — see Known Issues. 1/60 measured about 1/54 (accurate).
The meter works but reads about -2.4 EV at both EV12 and EV15 — see Known Issues.
The self-timer does not work.
The light seals have been replaced and the viewfinder cleaned internally.

Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- 1 s — measured 1/5 s (approx. 2.3 stop fast)
- 1/60 — measured 1/54 s (approx. 0.2 stop slow)
- 1/1000 — measured 1/2650 s (approx. 1.4 stop fast)
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 2.4 UNDER / EV15: 2.4 UNDER
Some of these deviations exceed what negative film can absorb — please read the Known Issues section and allow for them when shooting.

Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Viewfinder cleaned internally

Known Issues
1. Shutter speeds are inaccurate: 1s measured about 1/5s and 1/1000 about 1/2650. Mid speeds around 1/60 are accurate.
2. The meter reads about 2.4 EV dark (underexposure) at EV12 and EV15 — use an external meter or compensate.
3. The self-timer does not work.
4. Haze and cleaning marks on the front and rear lens elements — may soften images or reduce contrast.

We ship via either FedEx or Japan Post (ePacket), whichever suits the destination and the parcel. With Japan Post your package is handed over to the local postal carrier in your country for final delivery.
