The Minolta SRT-101, introduced in 1966, is a classic and robust mechanical 35mm SLR, famous for its through-the-lens CLC (Contrast Light Compensator) metering and excellent build quality. It uses the Minolta SR (MC) mount and is offered here with the MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 standard lens, a fast and well-regarded optic from Minolta's own Rokkor line — a beloved, fully manual film camera.

The lens has haze and cleaning marks, and the top shutter speed runs slow. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.

Optical Condition
Haze: Haze and cleaning marks on the rear element, and cleaning marks on the front element of the MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 — may reduce contrast or soften images. See photos.
Finder: Clear

Functional
The camera operates properly — shutter and film transport work. Shutter speeds measured about 1/0.8s at 1s and 1/56 at 1/60 (accurate); 1/1000 runs at about 1/574 (about one stop slow).
The meter works and reads about +1.3 EV at EV12 and +1.0 EV at EV15.
The light seals have been replaced.

Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- 1 s — measured 1/0.8 s (approx. 0.3 stop slow)
- 1/60 — measured 1/56 s (approx. 0.1 stop slow)
- 1/1000 — measured 1/574 s (approx. 0.8 stop slow)
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 1.3 OVER / EV15: 1.0 OVER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.

This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced

Known Issues
1. Haze and cleaning marks on the rear lens element, plus cleaning marks on the front element — expect some loss of contrast or softness, especially against the light.
2. The 1/1000 speed runs about one stop slow (measured about 1/574); the other speeds are accurate.
3. The meter reads about +1 EV bright; negative film absorbs this.

We ship via either FedEx or Japan Post (ePacket), whichever suits the destination and the parcel. With Japan Post your package is handed over to the local postal carrier in your country for final delivery.
