Antique writing-desk inkwell set consisting of 3 pieces: an oval tray in solid silver 800 and two removable bottles in faceted crystal. Description and Structure: The silver structure features a perimeter railing worked in geometric openwork with refined guilloché finish. It is supported by four leaf-shaped feet soldered by hand and is equipped with a lower pull rod for disassembly and easy cleaning of the components. Hallmarks and Origin: Hallmark: The title mark "800" enclosed in an oval cartouche on the foot. A second small rectangular factory mark is present. Provenance: Italy / continental Europe. Period: Late 19th century - early 20th century. Dimensions and Verified Weight: Dimensions: 18 x 7.5 x 5 cm Silver weight (net): 185 grams (weight verified excluding the crystal parts). Total weight (gross): 272 grams (including the crystal bottles). Filling: The item is entirely in solid silver and is not weighted with lead or cement. Conditions: Good overall condition for its age.
