A particularly decorative curved cabinet/commode in a demi-lune shape, made of dark wood and richly decorated with hand-cut floral and leaf marquetry.
The curved front, elegant legs, and decorative wooden inlays give the piece an elegant appearance. The marquetry consists of different wood tones and forms floral and leaf motifs, supplemented with fine decorative inlays.
The furniture has a beautiful patina and shows clear signs of age and use. The overall character is authentic and well-worn.
The exact origin and maker are not known. There is no mark or label found. Based on the design, material usage, and marquetry, the piece is cautiously dated to the late 19th – early 20th century, in a European historic style.
