Antique clock - Mooie Franse Louis XVI-pendule - Bronze, Marble - 1850-1900

A particularly fine antique French Louis XVI pendulum clock from the 19th century, crafted in white marble and fire-gilt bronze.

The clock is characterized by beautiful sculpted putti on either side of the dial, often symbolic of art and love.

At the top there is also a gilded bronze bird's nest, and the timepiece is further decorated with claw feet at the bottom and with graceful gilded ribbons.

This romantic pendulum clock was made around 1870 and is in excellent condition.
