Description from the seller
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Rare 1973 model with the beloved round tail lights
• Fully repainted in the legendary original Inka Orange
• Refreshed components including brakes, tires, suspension, belts and clutch
• Supplied with full maintenance history and documentation on invoice
HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
The BMW 02 series, introduced in the 1960s and 1970s, is regarded as the sporty icon that laid the groundwork for the later BMW 3-Series. The combination of independent suspension for all four wheels, a low center of gravity, a short wheelbase and excellent visibility around provides fantastic driving characteristics. This specific example is a very neatly cared-for BMW 1802 from 1973, equipped with the iconic round tail lights. The car is currently registered in Belgium and is delivered with Belgian paperwork. The odometer reads 01,843 kilometers.
BODY/PAINT:
The body is in very nice condition and has been repainted in the original and sought-after color Inka Orange. The car is rust-free and no welding work is needed. The chrome parts and lighting are also in good condition. In the restoration and maintenance, as much as possible original parts were used.
INTERIOR:
The interior is largely in original condition, including the dashboard and door panels. The seat upholstery shows light wear and some minor damage. The headliner is in good condition. There is a radio present that still needs to be connected. All other electrical systems work properly.
ENGINE AND TECHNICAL:
Technically the car is in optimal condition. The engine and the gearbox function excellently. A full tuning of the engine and brakes has recently taken place. The brakes, tires, suspension, belts and clutch have recently been renewed. The car starts and drives optimally, both in cold and warm conditions.
DOCUMENTS:
All required documents are present, including the Belgian registration certificate, manuals, invoices supporting maintenance and various maintenance stamps.
The car can be viewed and picked up in Hoeilaart, Belgium. Bids are exclusive of transport and export, unless otherwise stated. Arranging transport, transfer of ownership and any export documents/COC costs is the responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
