Bela Jaffrenou - Vase - Ceramic

Inventory of forms is a set of 30 tangible objects made in ceramics and colored paper collages. This range constitutes a repertoire based on the three pure geometric figures; all other shapes derive from them. It was by adding, assembling, compiling these figures that new compositions appeared. The search for shapes and their various combinations was carried out directly in the material itself, without any preliminary sketches. The medium of this experimentation is matter. The stages of the creative process were reversed since the volumes emerged spontaneously from my hands, and once the pieces were fired, the technical part — namely the cuts of the objects — was carried out digitally and then printed on colored paper and realized through cutouts.
