Bela Jaffrenou - Bela Jaffrenou - Taperstick - Ceramic

Inventory of forms is a set of 30 tangible objects made in ceramics and colored paper collages. This range constitutes a repertoire based on the three pure geometric shapes; all other forms derive from them. It is by adding, assembling, compiling these figures that new compositions emerged. The exploration of forms and their various combinations was carried out directly in the material, with no preliminary sketches. The medium of this experimentation is matter itself. The stages of the creative process were inverted since the volumes sprang spontaneously from my hands, and once the pieces were fired, the technical part — namely the cuts of the objects — was executed digitally, then printed on colored paper and realized through cutouts.
