Description from the seller
Characterful rural carved figure from the Black Forest, created in the first half of the 20th century.
The wooden carved and colorfully painted figure shows an older man in rural clothing. He stands with a slightly stooped posture and both hands in his pockets on a green-painted base. Especially expressive are the sharply carved face as well as the deliberately left visible carving marks, which give the figure its rustic and individual character.
The clothing is finished in blue, yellow, cream and brown tones. Figure and base form a harmonious unit.
Age-appropriate condition with visible signs of use and aging. The paint coating shows areas of wear, minor defects and irregularities. On the base there are small hairline cracks or age-related wood marks. These features underscore the authentic character of the historical handicraft. Please note the numerous detail shots that are part of the condition description.
