Beautiful Blue Amazonite Beads, a Neolithic collection from Mauritania dating to circa 5000–2500 years ago, made of blue amazonite with beads ranging from about 0.5 cm to 2 cm in excellent condition.

Typology: Beads
Material: Blue Amazonite
Description: Collection of ancient amazonite beads, entirely shaped and polished by hand. The group includes round, flat annular beads and elongated tubular beads, all centrally perforated for suspension. The beads display beautiful natural shades of blue-green amazonite, ranging from pale green to vivid turquoise-blue, with whitish mineral areas. Their surfaces show traces of ancient workmanship and a beautiful desert patina.
Dating / Period: Late Neolithic, approximately 5,000–2,500 years BP.
Hominid: Homo sapiens sapiens
Origin: Mauritania
Dimensions: Approximately 0.5 cm to 2 cm.
Condition: Very good overall condition. Beautiful ancient desert patina, with natural variations and traces of age and use.
Acquired in 2005 from Mme P. private French beads collector, collected since the 70's.
