Description from the seller
For a pair of Danish nesting tables – Dyrlund style, Danish Modern, 1960s/1970s.
Offered is a remarkable pair of vintage nesting side tables, made in the distinctive Danish Modern style.
The form of the tables closely resembles the designs and aesthetics of the Dyrlund company, known for high-quality Danish teak furniture from the mid-20th century. Particular attention is drawn to the massive, smoothly rounded side frames, a construction reminiscent of skis, and beautifully profiled edges of the tops.
The tables are made of warm, reddish-honey wood with a distinct and decorative grain. Also characteristic are the dark, round connector elements visible in the construction.
The furniture retains its original character and natural patina. Minor scratches, scuffs and signs of use due to age are visible. They have not been overly refinished, preserving an authentic vintage appearance.
There is no label or maker’s signature on the bottoms, therefore the set is not offered as a confirmed Dyrlund model. The description “in the Dyrlund style” refers only to form and design.
