Philips BI280A Valve Radio (Medium Wave and Short Wave) – Working
Description:
I’m selling a splendid vintage Philips valve radio, model BI280A, dating from the late 1940s / early 1950s (manufactured at the Monza Plant).
A true piece of Italian design and radio engineering history.
* Aesthetic condition: Dark brown Bakelite cabinet in good condition, signs of age with parts slightly dulled and a few marks as shown in the photo. Cream-colored grille and front frames. The graphic dial with the station indicators for Medium Wave and Short Wave is clearly visible and evocative.
* Operation: The radio is functioning and powers on normally. It operates on Medium Wave and Short Wave, which, however, are presently out of use.
* Internal components: The interior preserves the original chassis with valves and vintage components (Philips identification badge on the back is clearly legible).
* Power supply: Original integrated power cord with vintage plug.
Perfect as a collectible piece, vintage décor element for lounges, studios or homes, or for enthusiasts of conservative restoration.
