Fossil plesiosaur skeleton (Specimen: Plesiosaurio) from the Late Cretaceous (100.5–66 million years ago), conserved and reconstructed.
Description from the seller
Museum-Quality Plesiosaur Skeleton (6 Meters)
Impressive articulated skeleton of a prehistoric marine reptile, 6 meters (236 inches) in length, ready for monumental display. This specimen stands out for its elongated neck, paddle-like limbs, and excellent anatomical presence, representing one of the most iconic marine predators of the Mesozoic era.
Authenticity and Paleontological Preparation
High Bone Integrity: 80% of the structure consists of original fossil pieces from the same specimen. The complementary parts were integrated with authentic fossils from closely related specimens to guarantee scientific and aesthetic continuity.
Preparation Work: It required about 10 months of specialized work to extract and clean each element from the limestone matrix using micro-mechanical tools.
Exhibition Mounting: Metal frame designed to ensure long-term stability in museums, universities, or high-end private collections.
Institutional and Patrimonial Value
A specimen of this scale and state of articulation is extremely rare on the international paleontological market. It constitutes a centerpiece with great educational value and visual impact for research centers, galleries, or exclusive collections.
