AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

BMW 650i Convertible F12 – 2012 – 4.4 V8 TwinPower Turbo

The BMW 6 Series has always occupied a special position in BMW’s history. While the 5 Series was primarily developed as a sporty business car and the 7 Series emphasized maximum luxury, the 6 Series combined both worlds in the form of an elegant Gran Turismo. The first 6 Series, the E24, appeared in 1976 and grew into one of the most recognizable BMW models of its generation. After a long hiatus, the name returned in 2003 with the E63/E64.

This example dates from 2012 and is unusually stylishly composed in Orion Silver Metallic with Ivory White Nappa leather. The combination is complemented by Piano Finish Black interior trim, Ceramic Controls and an extensive list of standard factory options.

When new, the car had an original retail price of $100,495. For the Dutch market, this configuration represented a new price of around €135,000 at the time.

The history is also thoroughly documented. The included CLEAN CARFAX lists 30 recorded maintenance moments, only three private owners, no reported accidents or damage, and a logical odometer progression. In 2013 the car was also sold as BMW Certified Pre-Owned.

CARROZZERIA/PAINTWORK:

The bodywork is finished in the elegant factory color Orion Silver Metallic. Depending on the light, this metallic paint presents a subtle silver, champagne, to light-gold shade, which suits the character of the 650i Convertible very well.

The paint presents itself well and has a nice gloss. The body parts fit neatly together. The F12 features a long, low hood with wide rear wheel arches and a comparatively low waistline. With the top down, the body remains particularly sleek thanks to BMW’s choice of a fully retractable soft-top.

The electrically operated soft top closes neatly. A distinctive detail of the F12 is the separate, almost vertical glass rear window behind the rear seats. This construction contributes to the characteristic silhouette and can also act as a wind-deflector element when driving with the top open.

The bodywork makes extensive use of lightweight materials. The hood and doors are made of aluminum, while the front side panels and tailgate use other lightweight composite materials.

The chrome window surrounds, kidney grills, trim and body accents present themselves well. The headlights, taillights and glazing also make a neat impression. The car features attractive 20-inch alloy wheels, part of option ZF2.

TECHNICAL:

Under the hood lies the 4,395 cc TwinPower Turbo V8, equipped with direct fuel injection, Double-VANOS variable valve timing and two turbochargers. The engine delivers 400 hp and about 600 Nm of torque. It is the matching-numbers engine belonging to the car. The V8 is paired with the 8-speed Sport Automatic Transmission, which can be operated in fully automatic or via the manual shift function. Drive is to the rear wheels.

The 650i features Dynamic Damping Control, allowing the damper characteristics to be electronically adjusted. Through Driving Experience Control on the center console the driver can also select different driving programs, including Comfort and Sport.

The suspension consists of a double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, combined with aluminum front and rear subframes, stabilizer bars and gas-pressurized dampers.

The car features large ventilated discs with ABS, Dynamic Brake Control and an electric parking brake with Auto Hold.

The maintenance history shows that technically important parts have received demonstrable attention over the life of the car. For example, brake fluid has been replaced multiple times, oil and filters have been periodically changed and bulbs, coils, drive belts, tensioners and the oil pan gasket have been replaced.

At 40,947 miles the spark plugs and coils were replaced and oil and filter changed. At 42,898 miles the drive belts and tensioners were renewed. At 45,376 miles again oil and filter were replaced and the oil pan gasket renewed.

Just before export the BMW was inspected again. On July 7, 2025 at 78,541 miles a pre-delivery inspection was performed and brakes checked. This was just 78 miles before the current odometer reading of 78,619 miles.

INTERIOR:

The interior forms a particularly beautiful contrast with the body and is finished in Ivory White Nappa leather. The light leather extends across the seats, rear seat, and large parts of the door panels. The upper part of the dashboard and the center console are black. The combination is further accented by Piano Finish Black interior trim and the optional Ceramic Controls.

Photos show a well-maintained interior. The light leather shows some light signs of use on the front seats, appropriate for age and mileage. The front seats are 20-way electrically adjustable Multi-Contour Seats with adjustable upper back, lumbar support, side bolsters and thigh support. Both driver and passenger have memory functions.

This example is equipped with the Luxury Seating Package, further expanding the already extensive seat equipment. In the photos, both seat heating and seat ventilation are recognizable in the climate control panel.

The dashboard is dominated by the BMW iDrive system with a 10.3-inch high-definition display, navigation, onboard computer, voice control, Real Time Traffic and programmable presets.

The Premium Sound equipment ensures the extensive audio installation. The car also features automatic climate control, electronically adjustable and foldable exterior mirrors, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, parking sensors, ambient lighting, power windows and an integrated garage door opener.

The black high-gloss center console with Ceramic Controls, iDrive controller and electronic selector presents itself attractively and forms a stylish contrast with the Ivory White interior.
