Splendid and iconic specimen of the Polaroid SLR 680 SE (Special Edition), considered by many enthusiasts and experts to be the best and most advanced instant reflex camera ever produced by Polaroid.

Introduced in the early 1980s, the SLR 680 combines the legendary bellows-folding design of the SX-70 series with the performance of Polaroid 600 Series film (higher ISO), integrating a Sonar automatic focusing system (the golden grid disc) and a swiveling, synchronized electronic flash.

Aesthetic and Mechanical Conditions:
Body: The main black plastic body and the bellows-fold opening mechanism appear in generally good, solid, well-preserved condition. The logos and the inscriptions "SLR 680 SE" are sharp and clearly visible.

Covers (Skivertex): As accurately highlighted in the photo gallery, the original synthetic cover shows the classic and widespread signs of aging, with pronounced cracks and crazing due to material aging. This is an unfortunately common but purely aesthetic defect, which does not compromise the vintage charm of the item (many collectors choose to leave it as is in its originality or proceed with a replacement of the leatherette).

Lenses and Mechanics: The lens and reflex system show clean optics. The film chamber is clean. Note: As this is a vintage collectible item, the camera is sold as-is (as shown in the photos) and has not been tested with current film; therefore it is offered as a collectible/display piece.
