Chalice - Bronze cast - Bronze chalice

Refined ornamental chalice made in solid cast bronze and chased, dating to the late 19th century or early 20th century. The piece belongs to the famous tradition of decorative bronzes inspired by models of classical antiquity, highly sought after during the Grand Tour era.
The central body is splendidly decorated in relief with motifs of floral scrolls and geometric patterns. Two elegant winged female figures stand out.
The upper band is embellished with a geometric interlaced motif, while a cord in the shape of a vegetal garland separates the upper section from the main body. The stem rests on a circular base richly beaded.
