Description from the seller

Chastagner & Cie / Limoges, France

This exquisite 21-piece set offers a complete configuration for six, arranged in an impeccable culinary hierarchy. Each piece is designed to transform serving into an artistic ritual.
The three plate sizes allow for the layering characteristic of French etiquette, where the table setting is gradually revealed to the guests:
6 dinner plates (Ø 25 cm): Their large diameter allows the wide 24-karat gold rim to frame the food like a true work of art.

6 deep/intermediate plates (Ø 23 cm): Ideal for soups, starters, or gourmet pasta dishes, offering perfect heat retention thanks to the dense, high-quality Limoges kaolin.

6 dessert plates (Ø 20 cm):
The perfect finale to the evening. Their more compact size concentrates the gold décor closer to the center, making the presentation of sweet masterpieces feel exceptionally intimate and glamorous.

The true aristocratic value of the collection lies in its defining vessels, which dictate the geometry and prestige of the table:

The Large Tureen: The majestic centerpiece of the composition. Its sculpted forms and richly gilded handles command attention, evoking a regal atmosphere right from the start of the dinner.( There are slight signs of age on the gold-tone finish of the handles (barely noticeable).

The oval platter (33 cm): An impressive vessel for presenting a roast main course or special culinary spreads. Its elongated shape allows the golden Baroque frieze to display its full splendor.

The refined sauce boat: With its delicate and ergonomic silhouette, it is the finishing touch of precision, demonstrating a high standard of dining and attention to detail.

This dinner service by Chastagner, Limoges, is not merely a collection of exquisite tableware—it is an investment in family history and timeless French chic. The combination of the dazzling white, resonant porcelain body—born of the technological revolution of the 1950s—and the regal radiance of 24-karat gold arabesques elevates this set to the status of a true work of applied art.
