Description from the seller
Mahogany bombe-side table | Louis XV style | Solid hardwood | 3 drawers
Elegant side table in the style of the French Louis XV period (baroque/rococo revival), made from solid hardwood (mahogany) with artisanal finish. A fine example of the renowned Indonesian furniture industry, where this piece is crafted entirely by hand.
Characteristic are the serpentine top, the curved bombe sides and the curved cabriole legs. The sides and back are shaped with the same care as the front, so the piece can also be placed freestanding in a room.
The mahogany is, as it should be, treated with furniture oil (no varnish), which brings out the grain pattern and the warm red/brown glow, and with regular maintenance becomes more beautiful over time.
