The breathtakingly beautiful figurines were created in the "Cottage Style" by master sculptor and painter Jim Shore. He drew his inspiration from American Folk Art. Specifically for his Folk Art Collection "Heartwood Creek" Jim Shore was named "Artist of the Year" in 2004 by the National Association of Limited Edition Dealers.
Each piece is very lovingly crafted, true-to-detail and vibrant. The originals were carved by Jim Shore. These figures also have the appearance of carved figurines, since the originals were used to shape the molds for the castings. These sculptures are thus cast figures, hand-painted, each one a unique piece.
