Holmegaard Carine – vintage Danish table lamp
Elegant, original vintage Holmegaard Carine table lamp, made in Denmark. The Carine model is a characteristic example of late 20th-century Scandinavian design. Available sources identify the Carine model as a Sidse Werner design, dated early 1980s.
The lamp features an impressive white opal glass base with a distinctive, contoured form. The piece is completed by a metal ring and the original pleated lampshade in a light ivory shade. The shade has a decorative, fan-like construction, giving the lamp a very characteristic Scandinavian look.
On the bottom of the base there is an original metal label bearing the designation:
HOLMEGAARD
Type: CARINE
which constitutes an important identification feature of the lamp.
