The Olympus PEN EE-2 is a half-frame (18x24mm) point-and-shoot introduced in 1968 as part of the Maitani-designed PEN series, and remained in production until 1977. It pairs a sharp fixed D.Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 lens with a battery-free selenium-cell automatic exposure system and a simple two-speed program shutter, adding a hot shoe over the earlier PEN EE. A red warning flag rises in the viewfinder and locks the shutter in low light, guarding against underexposed frames. Its compact size, twice-the-frames-per-roll economy and reliable meterless operation make it a durable favourite among film shooters and collectors today.

Optical Condition
Finder: Cleaned internally — clear
Lens / Sensor: Clear — no haze or fungus.

Functional
The selenium meter responds and the automatic exposure works; it reads about +0.9 EV at EV12 and +1.1 EV at EV15, a little on the bright side. No battery is required.
The light seals have been replaced and the viewfinder cleaned internally.

Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 0.9 OVER / EV15: 1.1 OVER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.

Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Viewfinder cleaned internally

Known Issues
1. Heavy cosmetic wear on the body (see photos); the camera is mechanically and optically sound.
2. The meter reads about +1 EV bright; negative film absorbs this.

Shipping
We ship via either FedEx or Japan Post (ePacket), whichever suits the destination and the parcel. With Japan Post your package is handed over to the local postal carrier in your country for final delivery.
