Description from the seller

Set of 12 wine glasses with a height of 9.4 cm and a diameter of 6.5 cm, and a decanter with a height of 16.7 cm and a diameter of 15.3 cm. Made in refined transparent mouth-blown Venetian glass, each glass offers an enchanting hand-satin-engraved design, recalling the sophisticated styles of the 18th century. The engraved motifs, with interlace, leaves, scrolls, and noble figures, confer a timeless charm that will capture attention on any occasion. Perfect for elevating your evenings and ensuring impeccable service, these glasses represent an elegant complement to your collection. Their classic beauty makes them ideal for any event, from formal dinners to more intimate moments. The stems belong to the glassware: S.I.V.A. (Società Industrie Vetrarie Artistiche) M. Indovino Venezia are Italian antique glassware objects for antiquarian and collectible glassware, dating roughly to the first decade of the 20th century. Decorated with acid work, wheel-engraving, or theme-based details and finishes. The glasses have a slightly flared shape (inverted cone trunk) resting on a thick, robust base with a ring. The decoration is in Baroque style with the engraving of a lady with a cavalier. Vetreria SIVA, founded and based in Venice during the 20th century (with particularly active and appreciated production in the first half of the century, around the years ’10/’30), the company of Mario Indovino specialized in creating artistic glass and high-quality dinner services. SIVA was famous for its mastery of acid engraving and hand finishes. This technique produced the characteristic cameo effect, velvety and softly shaded, perfect for vegetal figures, foliate motifs, and dynamic scenes (such as the juggler/dancer on the balloon goblet). The pieces bore the original paper label: an oval or rectangular label bearing the inscription SIVAM INDOVINO VENEZIA. Very sought after in the market for antique and collectible fine art glass.
