Vintage brutalist oak sideboard from Belgium, dating to 1970–1980, with five front doors featuring a geometric, multi-depth panel design, in dark stained wood and measuring 275 cm wide, 85 cm high and 55 cm deep in good used condition.
Description from the seller
This is a vintage Brutalist sideboard, presumably from Belgium and dating to the 1970s. The piece has a long, low, and sturdy form with a dark-stained wood finish.
The most striking element is the front with five wide doors. The doors feature a graphic, three-dimensional pattern where the wooden panels offset and vary in depth. This creates a clear light-and-shadow effect and gives the front a sculptural appearance.
The combination of the heavy rectangular construction, the dark wood, and the geometric front fits well within Belgian Brutalist furniture design from the 1970s. There were several Belgian furniture manufacturers and makers from that period who produced similar sideboards with graphically decorated doors.
