Copper engraving map titled Dédiée et Présentée à ......., by Gio Rizzi Zannoni and published by Lattré in Paris, covering the Netherlands and surrounding areas (Nederland, Duitsland) on a 301 × 451 mm sheet, in good condition and hand coloured in the period, with verso blank.
Description from the seller
Beautiful map in good condition. Sturdy paper, sharp print. In the wide margins clear browning, in the map image here and there some browning, little distracting (see photos). Nicely antique-colored. Blank verso.
This map is, in combination with 3 other sheets, a larger map of the German Empire. Each sheet stands on its own, given the edges and margins. The title of the map is "Carte de l'Empire d'Alemagne avec les États de Bohème", displayed on another sheet.
Published by Lattré in Paris, in "Atlas Moderne ou collection de cartes sur toutes les parties…" around 1771. The author is Gio Rizzi Zannoni, a well-known Italian cartographer who worked for a long time in Paris, among others with Lattré.
This map is a fine example of the high quality of French cartography in this era.
