1930s Photographic Antiquities: FILMA Box Camera + Case + 2 Virgin Glass Plate Boxes
Splendid and exclusive vintage lot themed around photographic archaeology and modern collectibles, perfect for historic collectors, vintage lovers, or photographers passionate about old techniques and expired emulsions.
The lot includes:
Camera: FILMA Box Camera (1930s): A rare model produced in Turin based on a design by Antonio Bencini. Metal/sheet metal body with a front featuring a mirrored lens 1:11 / 7.5. Excellent cosmetic condition, shutter mechanisms present (sold as a collectible piece not tested with film).
Exclusive Handmade Case (Pre-1944): Precious protective bag with a fake crocodile motif, entirely handmade by the original owner before 1944 to house and protect the camera. An exceptional testament to care and lived life of the past.
Original M. CAPPELLI Box (Milano) WITH GLASS PLATES: Original 9x12 cm format box with an old red label listing the Grand Prix prizes of Milan 1906 and Turin 1911. It contains inside part of its original antique glass plates.
Original GEVAERT ULTRA RAPID Box WITH GLASS PLATES: Original 9x12 cm format packaging from the historic Belgian brand, with an old teal-green label. It contains inside part of its original antique glass plates.
Transparency note: The boxes contain partial antique plates. As they were kept in a private context, there is no guarantee that they have always remained in complete darkness; the lot is therefore sold mainly for its very high historical, collectible, and display value.
