The service consists of 12 flat plates, a soup tureen, a gravy boat, and two large oval serving platters, for a total of 12 pieces.
Hutschenreuther is one of the historic Bavarian porcelain manufacturers. Its origins go back to the 19th century and are linked to Hohenberg an der Eger and Selb, an important district of German porcelain production. A significant moment in the company’s history aligns with the dating of the service: in 1969/70 the main Hutschenreuther entities were united into Hutschenreuther AG.
The service testifies to the tradition of German Tafelporzellan (table porcelain) of the second half of the 20th century, characterized by the quality of the paste, precision of the forms, and meticulous finishing.
