A really high grade of Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ for this first issue note by the Sudan Currency Board.

There was quite some confusion at the time of emission as both Thomas de la Rue and the American Banknote Company were commissioned (and printed) the 25 piastres and 50 piastres, which only differentiated in design at the third line of the text on the front, one being wider than the other. Hence the rarity of these pieces, and the interesting historical factor behind them.
