Fristho - Rudolf Bernd Glatzel - Sideboard - Wood

An exceptional and rare masterpiece of Dutch mid-century design, designed in 1955 by the renowned designer Rudolf Bernd Glatzel for the premium furniture factory Fristho Franeker. This spectacular sideboard (credenza) excels in both aesthetics and craftsmanship. The piece is finished in warm walnut/teak wood and features a beautiful, continuous flame pattern across the entire width. Very characteristic of this early model is the asymmetric layout with an extended, lower-lying plateau on the left side. The sideboard rests on an exceedingly elegant solid wood cross-legged base that gives the massive piece a floating and refined character.
