Description from the seller
Beautiful Beomaster 4000 with a gorgeous rosewood cabinet.
Visually and technically in good condition. The perspex of the sliding potentiometers is very clear (in many units these have yellowed over time). The rare cover plate for the presets is also present.
The Beomaster 4000 was positioned above the Beomaster 3000-2. In addition to the many functions of the 3000-2, it offered built-in ambifonic stereo switching, connections for a second recorder and, more importantly, more power. With a power of 60W, the Beomaster 4000 was just as powerful as the previous Beolab 5000 system. Thanks to advances in electronics and manufacturing techniques, the capabilities of the Beolab 5000 could be housed in a smaller and more elegant enclosure, allowing B&O to once again offer an amplifier with enormous power for its time.
Volume for input signals can be adjusted on the bottom so that all connected devices sound equally loud.
