A set of 12 earthenware pieces dating to around 1800 by Scott (Southwick Pottery) of Staffordshire, UK, with a predominantly grisaille romantic scene and a blue border; cups about 4.5 cm high and saucers 12.5 cm in diameter, all in good used condition with only normal signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Cup and saucers manufactured around 1800 by Scott (Soutwick Pottery), Staffordshire. Romantic scene in predominantly grisaille with a blue-edged border. All in good condition with only some usual signs of wear. Diameter of the saucers 12.5 cm and the height of the cups 4.5 cm. Small, however, as tea was still an expensive product at that time, so the cups were small. A bit later in the 19th century that changed and the cups became larger.
