A four‑piece sterling silver Elkington & Co tea and coffee service from Birmingham in Queen Anne style, including coffee pot, teapot, sugar pot with two handles and a milk jug, with a non‑silver engraved matching mirror/ajour tray, total weight 1265 g, in good used condition with light signs of aging.
Description from the seller
A very high-quality and elegant 4-piece silver (sterling 925) tea and coffee service from the renowned English court supplier Elkington & Co Ltd. of Birmingham. The service is executed in a classic Queen Anne style:
o Coffee pot / tall pot (fitted with a wooden handle and wooden lid knob)
o Teapot (fitted with a wooden handle and wooden lid knob)
o Sugar pot (with two graceful silver handles)
o Creamer
o Including a matching mirror/ajour engraved serving tray (not sterling silver)
The service is in a nice, used condition with light signs of aging appropriate to its age. The l id closures work properly and the wooden handles are securely attached.
Total weight of the four-piece set excluding the tray (including the original wooden handles = 1265 grams
Provenance / Origin:
This service is an authentic family heirloom from the possession of the noble Russell - Testa family. The service has been carefully preserved and the set remains in beautiful authentic condition after a century.
