They belong to the golden age of Hollywood Regency and European Mid-Century Modern. The cascading design that imitates a "waterfall" (waterfall sconces) has become an absolute landmark in this decade.

The solid glass rods act as natural prism lenses. As the glass is fully filled, the lamp light does not simply pass through it: it is refracted, travels inside the rod and gains a brilliant intensity along the entire cylindrical body, ending in a highly concentrated glow at the lower drop or sphere.
