Description from the seller
Flötotto / Pagholz – set of 13 vintage stackable chairs – Germany – 1960s.
A large set of 13 original Flötotto chairs, manufactured in Germany, dating from around the 1960s.
The chairs feature characteristic ergonomically contoured shells made from formed plywood Pagholz/Pagwood, mounted on chromed frames made of steel tubes.
Authenticity is confirmed by preserved manufacturer markings FLÖTOTTO, visible on the metal mounting plates as well as on parts of the wooden shells. On one of the pieces there is also a factory stamp related to Pagholz production.
This is a smaller, school variant of the classic stackable Flötotto chair. The design of this type of chair is often attributed to Adam Stegner, who designed school furniture from Pagholz for Flötotto.
Approximate dimensions:
overall height about 71 cm, seat height about 41–42 cm, width about 43–46 cm.
All 13 chairs share the same basic construction and form. Due to age and prior use, there are natural differences in shade and grain of the wooden shells.
Condition: good, original vintage condition. Typical signs of age and use are visible: surface scratches, small abrasions, discoloration, patina, and local marks from old labels/stickers. The chromed frames also show normal signs of use.
