An antique Russian icon is housed in a kiot. 19th-century ‘God the Almighty’ in a silver setting (rize) made of 875 (84 zolotniki) silver, gilded; there is minimal loss to the gilding. The hallmark ‘N.A.’ belongs to Nikolai Vasilievich Alekseev—owner of a well-known Moscow silverware factory (operational period: 1896–1908). His company actively produced high-quality church vestments, crowns and rizes for icons. Total weight: 544 grams
