myott - Pie dish (7) - Ironston - Vintage Dinnerware Set

Splendid and iconic lot of 7 vintage plates in English Ironstone ceramic, produced by the famous and historic manufacturer Myott (Staffordshire, England).
The set belongs to the famous collection "The Hunter" (Il Cacciatore), dating from the late 1950s to the 1960s.
The multicolored transferware-style decoration depicts an evocative rural countryside scene from English rural tradition: a hunter with his dog near an old cottage with a water mill.
The plates are distinguished by the refined wavy rim with a spiral swirl (swirled rim). As certified by the stamp on the back, the decoration is the result of a hand-engraved engraving with permanent underglaze colors ("Hand Engraved - Permanent Colours").
The lot consists of 7 pieces in total:
1 Large serving plate (ideal as a central plate for desserts, tarts or antipasti, 25 cm)
6 Coordinated dessert plates (perfect for dessert, fruit or antipasti, 19 cm)
The set is presented in excellent vintage condition. The colors are vibrant, the glaze is glossy and there are no chips or deep cracks. An ideal set for lovers of English Countryside style, cottagecore, or collectors of British ceramics.
